In a significant collaboration, YRAC, powered by the Federal Ministry of Health Abuja, conducted a highly successful HPV sensitization exercise in various areas across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). This proactive initiative focused on educating and empowering girls through comprehensive awareness campaigns and subsequent vaccination drives.
Commencing with strategic sensitization efforts, YRAC engaged communities in the FCT to raise awareness about the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and its associated health risks. The campaign aimed to dispel myths, provide accurate information, and emphasize the importance of vaccination in preventing HPV-related complications.
The exercise unfolded in different areas, ensuring broad coverage and accessibility for the targeted population. YRAC’s team implemented educational sessions that not only highlighted the significance of HPV vaccination but also addressed concerns and queries from the community.
The culmination of the campaign featured vaccination drives where eligible girls received the necessary doses, contributing to the community’s overall health and well-being. The exercise stands as a testament to the successful collaboration between YRAC and the Federal Ministry of Health Abuja in proactively addressing public health concerns, ultimately fostering a healthier future for the girls in the FCT.
